The Bandero, a vessel operated by the Paul Watson Foundation, requested permission to enter a port in Faxaflói Bay on Monday evening but was denied by the Icelandic Coast Guard, partly on the basis of a risk assessment prepared by the Office of the National Commissioner of Police.
